Matthijs Kok works as a transition manager for the City of Utrecht in the fields of electric mobility, charging infrastructure and smart grids. In our city of 350.000 inhabitants about 70% of houses have no private parking and rely on public chargers. Together with Utrecht partners we have developed a city wide network 2.400 public charge points over the last years. We expect the network to grow to 5.700 public AC-charge points in 2025 and an additional 500 DC fast chargers for appox 25.000 EV’s.
